Bridge freezes before road! An iced-over bridge graphically shows how road conditions can suddenly change from clear to treacherous at bridges and overpasses. Bridges are surrounded by air on all sides, meaning that cold air will cool their road surfaces to below freezing long before the rest of the roads do.
