A variation on the hair-raising experiment is to attach string or yarn to the generator dome. Just like the hairs, the yarn will stand straight up and outward. Here, our Van De Graaff generator is being demonstrated at the Emdeon/WebMD booth at the NMHCC conference in Washington, DC.
