What happened to wvlightning.com?
Where is wvlightning.com? You're looking at it! Storm Highway is the new name for the completely renovated wvlightning.com site. In addition to adding some new features, I've kept all of the original content, photos, videos and articles from the old site. You'll also notice that the new site's logo is nearly identical to the old one. I wanted to keep a little bit of wvlightning.com's legacy while bringing in a totally new look and feel that better represents what this site is about.
The change to Storm Highway has been over a year in the making and almost three years in the planning stage (see my blog for more details). Aside from being easier to remember and communicate, the new name is more fitting to what this site is about. wvlightning.com started out as a personal project of mine, but over the years accumulated an increasing percentage of business 'feel' as the Lord blessed me with new opportunities. Today, my other three sites, StormScenes.com, hdweathervideo.com and Appalachian Skies Media (appalachianskies.com), have grown out of these business opportunities - and are more than adequate to 'carry the ball' on the business side of things. This leaves wvlightning.com free to 'return to its roots' as Storm Highway - an outlet for me to spread the Gospel message while sharing my chasing adventures and my affinity for severe weather in the process.
Another reason for the new site identity is that a major project is in the works for 'The Message', the evangelism ministry side of stormhighway.com, which I hope to have completed by spring or summer of 2007. Your prayers for this work would be greatly appreciated. I'm very excited about this new project and am anxious to see it live and online. When it's finished, you'll hear about it!
In Christ,
Dan Robinson
